Fallen

The Fallen series caught my attention about a week ago when I was in Barnes & Noble with my best friend. I've looked at it a few times and passed on it, but this time I decided what the hell, why not? So I brought it home and started reading it. It definitely has a dark, ominous tone to it, which I loved. The story follows Luce as she is forced to go to  Sword & Cross reform school and makes quick friends with Arianne and Penn. She also meets Daniel, who seems to absolutely hate her for no reason. To figure out why he hates her, you will just have to read the book (:

SPOILER ALERT:
When I finished Fallen I immediately when to the bookstore and bought the second book, Torment. This book follows Luce and Daniel to California. Daniel is trying to hide Luce from the Outcasts and other groups that want to kill her. There she meets her new roommate, Shelby and they become friends. And like in Fallen, Luce has an admirer, Miles. He ultimately saves her life, at the end of the book by throwing her reflection. The only thing about this book was that it did not make me need to go to the store and buy the third book. The Fallen series is one of those books that the first one is amazing, but the sequels just don't do it for you.

Movie Status: It has potential.
